Oh boy, I’m only a few weeks into the 2024 photography season and already I have so many gorgeous shoots to share with you, which has me really excited for the year ahead! Having some downtime this winter has been wonderful and I know I’m very fortunate to be able to do that, but picking up a camera again, getting creative and connecting with the couples in front of the camera really is my happy place.
Speaking of happy places, we couldn’t have wished for a better location and weather for M+J’s recent Silver Lake Sand Dunes engagement shoot. We may have been in an actual sandstorm for a lot of it, but the vast openness and connection to nature creates a real sense of freedom that makes everyone feel at ease and be oneself. Perhaps I’m reading too much into it, but every time I do a shoot at this location it always takes my breath away. Anyhoo, it was a joy to document M+J. Their energy was infectious. I can’t wait for their wedding later in the year.
