I want to work with people that are playful and have a sense of humour. Perhaps they’re a bit quirky, but they are definitely down for creating something that feels fresh. I want to create the pictures that my clients want, full of real emotion and flipping cool. Think that might be you?
For my own wedding, I wanted to feel like my photographer was a friend —
So it was important that we got to know our photographer. (She ended up staying with us for the weekend and we've been friends ever since). I know what it's like to plan your own wedding from absolute scratch, so I want to offer not just my photography skills but share my experience of planning my own wedding and consulting on hundreds more! I understand what it's like to be overwhelmed by schedules and timelines that aren't going to plan and “what if it rains and what if the light is bad…” etc etc. I have been in so many different tricky situations and come out the other side having created a wonderful body of work and offered what I think is pretty great experience.

I consider myself a globetrotter; in my personal life and my work.
I'm from the UK. Studied photography and film in Scotland. Fell in love with an American while working in South Korea. We decided it would be fun to live in Thailand, China, Myanmar, Chile and Argentina, all the while spending as much time as we could in India before settling down to live in Manchester, Michigan (who knew there was more than one?!) I married that American (Grace) and we now have two wonderful boys and Puddles the cat whom I adore.

I have my mum to thank for my love of photography—
I borrowed my mum's Pentax 35mm when I was about 14 and never gave it back to her. I used it so much I had to use tape to keep the film door from opening and exposing all the film. I love documenting life. I grew up obsessed with documentary photography, especially the Magnum photographers and dreamt of being a photographer who photographs conflict around the world like many of my heroes did.

My biggest love outside of my family is cricket.
I love all kinds of things. Cooking, swimming, reading. My musical tastes range from 90s Indie anthems, to OG Hip Hop to Mongolian throat singing (No joke. Great to listen to when editing). My biggest love outside of my family is cricket (the sport, not insect). If you want to talk about who greatest batter or bowler of all time is I'm all ears.

I'm a British-born, Michigan-based globetrotter, and potentially the tallest wedding photographer out there. Despite my height, I tend to blend into the fun and feel more like a friend at your wedding rather than another vendor getting in the way. Get to know me a bit more below and reach out if I seem like a good fit for you.

"Jack is an exceptionally talented photographer, but most of all, a wonderful person. "
"He’s the type of guy you want as a guest at your wedding as he brings such positive and relaxed energy. He’s FUN and a great communicator. I was actually not looking forward to this part of the wedding experience before meeting Jack, but working with Jack turned out to be one of my favorite parts. He’s incredibly accommodating, supportive, and his work speaks for itself. He’s able to capture the more traditional shots in such a beautiful and creative way. Our engagement photos and wedding photos are perfect and more than we could ever had hoped for. We both feel like we hit the “jack”pot. Every time we look at our photos and Jack’s work on our wall we feel inspired to love more. That says it all. Highly highly recommend working with Jack."

"If I’m being honest, working with Jack was one of the highlights of my wedding day!"
"He was calm, funny, lighthearted, and professional throughout the entire process. He capture so much love at our wedding, not just of my husband and me, but between our guests and family. Jack does an amazing job capturing moments and peoples’ personalities. We had a massive wedding party with a bunch of rowdy guys and Jack handled everything so well! Our engagement and wedding photos absolutely blew me away and are more than I could have ever dreamed of!"

"Jack is the most gifted photographer. We loved him so much that we designated him our official family photographer and asked for him to do our son’s baptism a year after he took our wedding photos. He sees beauty in every small moment that is shared between family and friends and knows how to capture it in the most meaningful way. His photography reflects who he is as a person! Just down to earth, family oriented and so appreciative of life’s blessings. My husband and I highly recommend Jack and to us, he is more than just an amazing photographer, he has become our friend."
Lemme guess: you're looking for a wedding photographer who can tell your story in a unique way while avoiding awkward poses and fitting into your day like one of the guests. You're not looking for cookie-cutter images (or shall I say biscuit-cutter?) because you ain't no biscuit. You're a blimmin' fun human who wants cool pieces of art to represent your special kind of love.
